A doula is a trained labor support who will support the mother physically, emotionally and informatively throughout her labor.

Birthing smiles describes my goal as a doula: helping people experiencing a happy birth.

I have been a doula since my training in August 2005. DONA (the Doulas Of North America organization) approved my certification in August 2007. I gave birth to two beautiful boys, one by cesarian, the other vaginally and at home. I am compassionate and a good listener, who knows what to do to make laboring women feel better emotionally and physically. I have supported many women, with different birth experiences, so feel free to ask for references.
